This Week in the Stars

Aug 21-28 2025

These are the last days of summer and the Sun

in Leo. By August 23rd Virgo begins. Harvest energy! Gathering our supplies, for school and new disciplined schedules. It’s easy to be loving with Jupiter and Venus in Cancer. This brings patience and nurturing as we transition to a new season. Mercury is in Leo meaning there is confidence in our communication and a playful influence. Children feel appreciated. Approaching new situations with a positive organized mindset which Leo is known for, melts away the jitters when approaching new people and situations. Mars is in Libra a polite and fair sign. Looking to reach out and build productive relationships with colleagues, students and parents. Venus moves into Leo by Aug 25th bringing shinny vibes and ready to bring loving drama to keep this time of new beginnings lively.

Collectively we all benefit from the outer planets, Saturn/Neptune in Aries - New beginnings- Uranus in Gemini  fast light hearted communication and Pluto in Aquarius  Social Consciousness. All these planets cooperate together to support our Fall Season. All these outer planets are at the beginning of the signs. Encouraging new projects and partnerships. The Virgo  Sun will be in a challenging aspect to Uranus! This brings speedy communication and unexpected ways of doing things. Virgo is earthy and flexible helpful when revising plans. Virgo is very practical and loves to be in service. Lots of conversations, technology and meetings to make sure everyone is on board with any new  challenges. This is Aug 24-26. Listen and be open. The quick changes in schedules- communication may cause us to feel sensitive about keeping up.

Saturn/Neptune in Aries   pushes the Sun in Virgo to adjust to things. Take some time to rest. Get enough nourishment and sleep. Virgo  is health conscious. Schedule changes- learning can be exhausting. Jupiter in Cancer is very graceful and moving into an ambitious aspect with Mars. As communities gather the resources and enthusiasm want to create more. By the 28th Virgo’s are not surprised by all the unexpected plans and challenges.

Eclipse Season

August 28 - September 4, 2025

Eclipse energy is ripening the week before the Lunar Eclipse. The collective may feel excitement, unease, or anticipation, along with heightened emotional sensitivity. Experiencing mood swings or being more easily triggered may call for some self-reflection and time alone.

August 30th

The Moon makes a smooth aspect with Venus in Leo, gaining inspiration as Venus leaves an opposition to Pluto. Over the next two days, Saturn remains conjunct Neptune in Aries, also leaving an easy aspect with motivated Venus.

September 2nd

Mercury is in Virgo, where it performs very well. In square to Uranus, it has the intellectual ability to handle change gracefully. This aspect also brings lots of mental energy and information to process. With Uranus in Gemini for the next seven years, AI is integrating into the collective consciousness. This brings exciting and speedy technological developments.

September 4th

The Moon moves through Aquarius, and its connection to Pluto and Uranus may surprise you. The air signs are empowered by Pluto to make objective decisions with greater ease.

September 2025: The Lunar and Solar Eclipse

September 7, 2025: Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces - Corn Harvest Moon

Motivational Statement for this Full Moon:
*“I am compassionate towards myself and others. I intend to let go of unsustainable standards of perfection.”*

The Full Moon brings bright light for an extended period of time. This has been helpful for gathering crops before the frost. Traditionally, lanterns were made and released into the sky or on water to float troubles away. Another theme of this Full Moon is seeking balance and setting intentions for the future. The Full Moon illuminates the night sky, making it easier to evaluate your priorities and make necessary changes to meet your needs.

The Full Moon is conjunct the North Node, which carries Jupiter-like energy—very spiritual and expansive. This Full Moon chart has Mercury in Virgo close to the Sun, opposite the Moon, which helps with strategic planning and flexible thinking. Mars is in Libra in square to Jupiter, providing motivation to cooperate and consider others in our relationships. Saturn has just moved back into Pisces and will oppose the Sun at the Solar Eclipse. The Full Moon has a broad, reassuring tone that will be useful at the Solar Eclipse.

Eclipse Pairs and Their Significance

Lunar and Solar Eclipses always come in pairs, two weeks apart. The houses accented by the eclipses are where you will be focusing your energy. This may be the focal point for as long as a year, or until the next eclipse. Astrologers look to the placement of the last Solar Eclipse to identify the root cause of any dilemmas a client is facing. An eclipse to the natal Sun or Moon is known for bringing important changes.

New Moon Solar Eclipse - September 21, 2025

Remember, this is really a 36-month moon phase. Watch these dates for a situation in your life to fully play out:

- September 21, 2025
- June 21, 2026
- March 22, 2027
- December 20, 2027

Sabian Symbol: Total concentration is required to reach any spiritual goal.*

The New Moon is at 29°05’ Virgo and Saturn is at 28°27’ Pisces, so we see it mirrors the Full Moon we had in Pisces with the Sun in Virgo earlier in the month. The same houses in your chart will be activated.

Virgo rules health, details, your daily schedule, and tends to think in terms of perfection. Pisces is dreamy, romantic, gentle, intuitive, and blurs boundaries. Blending the high vibrations of Virgo and Pisces creates balance in spiritual and mental health.

The New Moon is in the last degrees of their signs, called the Anaretic degree or fate degree. These degrees being activated by this eclipse call for urgency in handling affairs activated by these planets. This includes late degrees of Mutable Signs: 28-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, and Sagittarius. Delay in addressing these issues may result in frustration.

It’s particularly interesting that Saturn goes retrograde to oppose the Sun in these last degrees. The South Node is conjunct the Sun, meaning a review of the past and the need to let go. Saturn is Father Time, ruling the bones—like the skeleton under our skin that changes and ages. These last degrees represent a finishing-up season of our lives.

Mercury in Libra has been opposite Neptune in Aries, which can create communication that feels fuzzy. Neptune in Aries may dominate while Mercury is always looking to be fair. Clear up any misunderstandings in relationships quickly.

Mars has been in Libra this month, which has been helpful with the cooperation needed for new beginnings. Venus in Virgo is still square Uranus—the mutable energy ruling Mercury can be tricky. Venus is dependable and practical in Virgo, really known for business matters. Uranus will bring some tension and fast information. Together, they may accomplish some goals quickly.

September 22nd: Mars Enters Scorpio

Mars moves into the feminine sign of Scorpio, a comfortable place for Mars. Mars has been cooperative but in fall in Libra, meaning it doesn’t perform as directly as it does in Scorpio or Aries. Mars in Scorpio will meet a square to Pluto in Aquarius. Historically, these signs in square can point to having a teacher or guru, as the air sign learns and the water sign transforms. This is a tension aspect ruled by Mars—strong, fixed energy that is ambitious and moves forward. The goals for this New Moon will be put into action. We may be surprised that we simply start or finish something that needs our direct and full attention.

September 22, 2025: Fall Equinox

The beginning of Libra, a Cardinal sign—symbolizing opening the door to a new season. Balance and Justice.

In the Northern Hemisphere, we begin the fall season- equinox means equal: we experience the same amount of daytime as nighttime.

Ways to Celebrate:

- Write down your intentions
- Make a fall playlist
- Reflect on the rest of 2025
- Get crafty
- Enjoy a Harvest Festival
- Get out in nature
